Lone Star F.O.O.L.S. partnership

The purpose of the LSF scholarship program is to provide financial support on an individualized basis to members for training events.  This program is intended to be a partnership between the chapter (represented by the eboard) and the applying member.   Each application is considered by the eboard.  Consideration for approval is based on a number of criteria but with the intent of dispersing chaptersfunds as responsibly as possible and with the greatest return on investment to the chapter and it’s membership.  Each applicant will be advised of the status of their application and the amount of the allocation as soon as is feasible after submission.  Each applicant may apply for up to 50% reimbursement for tuition costs as well as up to 50% reimbursement for airfare to participate in outside training.  This application may also be used for chapter events in a case where free slots have been taken or when the member chooses not to fill a volunteer position in support of the event, but still wishes to attend (WORK for instance).  To apply, the member must:

1.) submit the scholarship approval form.  Depending on the amount of the application, an eboard member or members may contact the applicant to discuss the application.  

2.) pay up-front for all costs and the agreed upon scholarship monies will be reimbursed after completion.  

3.) provide financial documentation as needed to maintain compliance with our non-profit status.  Applicant will be advised of specifics upon approval.
